The team is on its way to the Boogie Down, which would be The Bronx. Not really, but close. It is flying to Newark, I believe, and then the plan was to get a practice in at Giants Stadium in Jersey tomorrow before playing the NY Red Bulls Saturday.
Wanted to share the link to my story about left back Tyson Wahl. Also, I have done some looking into the ESPN2 situation last night and am still hoping to produce some sort of update on that.
Man that U.S. game this morning was not pretty. I turned it off wanting a zuzuvela. Better be some major improvement and/or changes in a year. Brazil is amazing.
Lots of comments from last night’s game, it was a wild one. I would like to share something else, thanks to Greg M. from ECS. The Sounders FC supporters group (Emerald City Supporters) has organized a road trip south to Portland for the July 1 US Open Cup match. It looks like a lot of fun, as Greg tells me more than 200 people are going from this area and 100 or so on buses.
More information is here if you want to roll with the hardcores. But please, if somehow you run into my mom and dad at the match, be kind and tell them their son does great work (haha!). I bought them tickets. I think Mr. Romero will be wearing his Sounders FC T-shirt I got him for Fathers Day!
