Could Sounders FC have more All-Stars?

We know that Keller and Ljungberg were named today.
For the record, the passage in the story that reads “The first 11 players named to the team are necessarily the starting lineup.” should be “the first 11 players named to the team AREN’T necessarily the starting lineup.” I’m sure you knew the intent there, mistakes happen.
So at least seven more players will be selected, and to me the Seattle player with the best chance is Fredy Montero.
Osvaldo Alonso would have been more deserving had he played more. Jhon Kennedy Hurtado has been pretty solid and so has James Riley. Nate Jaqua, too, for that matter. But you can’t argue with the stats, and the numbers say that Montero has 9 goals and 6 assists. That’s production no matter what people (and a certain coach) think of the guy.
Also I was having this discussion today with other writers…why does everyone in this town seem to have a favorite EPL team? If I am a soccer fan in Seattle should I have one, and which team should it be? Make a case and help me out.
