Sounders FC

Daily coverage of Seattle Sounders FC, MLS and world soccer.

July 13, 2009 at 2:32 PM

Sounders FC 6, Kitsap Pumas SC 0

That was the result of today’s reserve game at Starfire, where a good group of Kitsap supporters were allowed in to watch. Here’s a bit of a recap:
LINEUPS:
Seattle: GK Terry Boss, defenders Daniel Scott (brother of Zach), Zach Scott, Lamar Neagle, Evan Brown, midfielders Nate Sturgis, Sanna Nyassi, Michael Fucito, Osvaldo Alonso, forwards Sebastien Le Toux and Roger Levesque. Alonso came out after one half, replaced by Nik Besagno.
Kitsap: Gorgley, Sampson, A. Megson, Johnson, Dieng, Phillips, Lee, Hyde, W. Sturgess, Mohn, GK Brim.
GOALS:
1. Seattle, Levesque 8
2. Seattle, Fucito, 9
3. Seattle, Nyassi, 14
4. Seattle, Le Toux, 36
Second half
5. Seattle, Nyassi
6. Seattle, Le Toux
No time on the two second-half goals because I was waiting to talk to Freddie Ljungberg, but Chris Henderson, the team’s technical director, was credited with a second assist on the last goal.
Talked to Osvaldo Alonso today after the game, and he said the following, translated from Spanish:
“I feel pretty good. I played 45 minutes. I ran, I kicked and I think I’ll be ready for this Saturday [vs. Chelsea].
