Game thread, Chicago-Seattle

No Tyrone Marshall in the starting lineup for Seattle. Sturgis gets rare start. Let’s see how this works out.
12:09 game on.
2 — Ljungberg good run, draws a corner. Ball comes into Jaqua in front, almost put it in and Montero was there too. Another corner.
5 — Jaqua knocked down by 2 Fire guys, gets back up and keeps possession.
8 — Ljungberg with a shot that is saved. Hay una bandera mexicana con gente que esta llevando playera de Sounders FC — Blanco fans/Sounders FC fans.
9 – Riley has a streamer on his shoe as he controls the ball, you know like when you get toilet paper on the bottom of your shoe and it sticks?
11– Blanco tries a shot that Ianni blocks. Blanco then raises his hands for a handball call and doesn’t get it. So dramatic.
13 — Nice job by Hurtado to shield off Nyarko.
16 — Montero simply runs by Conde and gets off a shot but it bloops to the right of the goal. Great hustle by Fredy.
19 — Nyarko gets through and centers to Pappa for the shot, rolls just wide. Near own-goal by Seattle. Not good defense on the wing there and Nyarko did that to Sounders FC last game too.
22 — Alonso put it through to Zakuani nicely but too far out of Zakuani’s reach.
24 — Ljungberg to Jaqua center, Nate turns but can’t get off a shot.
25 — Pretty good shot by Rolfe of CHI. Keller has to jump for it and it goes over goal.
27 — Alonso play it in to Montero, wide open and onside when he got ball but shoots it wide. Great chance missed.
28 — Hurtado gets a yellow for playing on after a foul called. El Presidente es el rey de los amarillos.
32 — Ljungberg free kick well done, and Jaqua goes up vs. GK to get it but saved.
37 — Montero golf chips it to Jaqua in front, header saved and the rebound is too soft and Busch grabs it. That one should have been a goal. Nate has to hit that one with more oomph.
39 — Yellow on Chicago Segares for tackling Ljungberg.
40 — Yellow on Thorrington CHI for dissent. He looks mad.
There’s a guy in a Club America jersey in the crowd. Disgusting.

45 — Looked like Alonso coming in to try to take the ball from Blanco and he FLOPS. On the ground writhing in “pain.” OK maybe hurt a little but at least no caution for Osvaldo for that dive by Blanco.
HALF
OK we’re back. Just checked MLS discipline and Ljungberg has four yellows, one more and he’s out for a match. None today so far.
Caution on Thorrington was delaying a restart, officially.
51 — Rolfe another long shot blocked away by Keller.
54 — Yellow, then red for Thorrington for a push and trip on Ljungberg. That’s 2 yellows for Thorrington so Chicago at 10 men. Someone just released a smoke bomb in the Brougham End.
56 — Montero just kicked the ball into the face of Tim Ward after Montero yanked down another player. OUCH! Chicago players want a call for it but get nothing.
57 — Yellow on Ianni.
UH-OH 59 — Ljungberg cautioned for a dive and he get so ticked off that he gets a RED. Now both team are at 10. And Freddie will miss the next game after two yellows so he won’t be available next game. Fans chanting his name as he walks off field. Wow Ljungberg was really upset.
Ljungberg clapped for the fans as he walked into the tunnel. Will not play next Sun. at San Jose.
63 — Zakuani with a hard shot wide.
65 — Prideaux in for Chicago. Husidic out.
68 — Vagenas in, Sturgis out.
70 — Nyarko gets in, centers to Blanco and he can’t get off a decent shot as Keller catches pop up.
71 — Montero to Jaqua between two defenders and Nate’s try in front is saved.
75 — Le Toux in and Zakuani out for Seattle.
80 — Montero’s shot hits the corner of the post. Ooooooh…..
-Blanco is basking in the boos from the fans. Like he hasn’t heard THAT before. He gets booed in two countries, three incl. Canada by the TOR people, I imagine.
85 — Corner kick headed by Ianni in front, it’s deflected and somehow Chicago clears it.
The defender there made a heck of a play.
86 — Blanco out.
89 — Jaqua out, Levesque in.
3 min extra time
