Galaxy coach Bruce Arena: Donovan not infectious

The Associated Press (via the Los Angeles Times) is reporting that the Galaxy are optimistic that Landon Donovan, who contracted the swine flu virus, can play Saturday.
The article says Donovan caught it from team employees last weekend when the Galaxy was in New England.
Rest is the biggest key to a quick recovery, I’m told, from this virus. Opinions seem to differ on whether Donovan will play, but he and David Beckham didn’t practice Friday.
Sounders FC coach Sigi Schmid was asked about the situation and said he is “not anticipating him not playing. I’m anticipating him playing.”
Schmid said the team talked about the swine flu earlier this season and it was brought up again today by the team trainer to remind players to make sure to wash their hands “and make sure Donovan doesn’t sneeze on them,” which was said as a joke.
