Gameday, Seattle vs. New England

I start with a link to Adam Serrano’s Berkeley Sports Blog. Adam interviewed former Bear Tyson Wahl, now of Sounders FC, and Tyson had an interesting comment about how the season has gone for Seattle.
As for today’s game, there will be a new center back for the suspended Tyrone Marshall, probably Patrick Ianni. And look for Peter Vagenas to go in place of Freddie Ljungberg. That could change of course.
It will be interesting to see if Sounders FC can play the same way it did without Ljungberg last week. A big key for this team is the ability to win without top players. It proved it could do it last week.
Seattle is 2-1-3 when Ljungberg doesn’t play. I believe I said this would be his sixth game missed with the team, but that was wrong, today will be his seventh.
Sounders FC is trying to keep pace with the LA Galaxy, who jumped back into second place in the conference with its win last night.
