New England, Toronto FC’s playoff hopes diminished this weekend

The Revolution lost and now are two points ahead of FC Dallas for the fourth and last wildcard spot, with both teams having two games left to play this season.
Toronto got a draw, but really needed a win. It’s point total is 36, as is that of FC Dallas, with two games left.
The two results helped improve Sounders FC chances of being among the wild cards. Chivas USA got a win and has 44 points with three games to play, and it looks like a sure bet to be a No. 2 or even a No. 1 out of the West.
For Seattle, it’s win and in this coming weekend. You can pretty much count out Kansas City, next Saturday’s opponent, and San Jose and New York are out of the running for sure.
U.S. and Mexico into the World Cup, seemed like Mexico might not get there a few months ago but it got hot. Really wish I would have seen the U.S. game, sounds like it was thrillling.
