Here and there in soccer in America

First and most important, USA Today had this item in its preview of the U.S.-Costa Rica match tonight at 5 on ESPN2.

U.S. Soccer physician Dan Kalbac said Davies faces a recovery period of six to 12 months and rehabilitation, casting doubt on his participation in the World Cup in June and July.

The U.S. can finish 7-2-1 in the hexagonal with a win tonight, its best record since 2005, when it was also 7-2-1.
In Kansas City, where the weather is 43 degrees right now, the Wizards played the U.S. U-17 national team and won 3-0 Tuesday. And I found this interesting story in the Kansas City Star about a potential schedule change.
There’s an MLS match tonight at 7 p.m. our time, New York at Real Salt Lake. The RSLs need the win to stay alive in the playoff hunt.
And Drew Carey, minority owner of Sounders FC, invites you to follow him on Twitter (@DrewFromTV). You can find me there too, @mividadeportiva, btw. Carey is asking for followers for a charitable cause.
