Announcing (“officially”) the 11th Annual Supporters Summit

Of course I and many of you have been aware of this event for some time, but Major League Soccer put out the word, officially, of the summit that will feature Commissioner Garber, Drew Carey, and most importantly, a lot of YOU.
Was speaking with Greg Roth who was not afraid to admit he reads this blog the other day and he gave me some background. I’m looking forward to stopping by to see what its all about and I thank him for the in person invitation. Looks like they’re going to talk OFFICIATING!
NEW YORK (Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009) – MLS Commissioner Don Garber and Seattle Sounders FC minority owner Drew Carey will participate in the 11th annual Supporters Summit hosted by Seattle Sounders FC supporter groups during MLS Cup weekend on Saturday, November 21.
The MLS Commissioner will deliver a special address to some of the League’s most dedicated and fervent fans, after which Carey will moderate a question and answer session. The summit will also include a formal discussion addressing the officiating and technical structure of MLS with top League stakeholders, Joe Machnik and Alfonso Mondelo.
MLS supporter groups play a large role in the growth and development of soccer in the United States. The goal of the Supporters Summit is to build relationships among these supporter groups, create a lasting community, and provide an environment for them to interact with key League representatives
