It’s a West side thing in the MLS Cup

And I’m happy to see it. An established league traditional power in the Galaxy. And a sizzling Real Salt Lake squad trying to make some noise. Can’t wait, should be a good one next weekend!
Honestly though, I’m still basking in Oregon’s win over ASU today….
Now, there is this out of Sounders FC’s front office:
RENTON, WASH. – Due to overwhelming demand, 6,000 additional seats are now on sale for the MLS Cup 2009 featuring David Beckham, Landon Donovan and the Los Angeles Galaxy. The initial offering of 36,000 sold out.
Tickets for the November 22 annual Major League Soccer championship are located in the Qwest Field upper level on the west side. Tickets can be purchased by visiting Ticketmaster.com or calling 1-800-745-3000.
The Los Angeles Galaxy, by virtue of Friday’s 2-0 win in extra time over the Houston Dynamo, has advanced to MLS Cup 2009 as the Western Conference champion. The other half of the MLS Cup pairing will be decided when Real Salt Lake plays at Chicago Fire on Saturday night at 5:00 p.m. PT for the Eastern Conference bid. (That game is now over).
Seattle’s Qwest Field is the eighth stadium to host Major League Soccer’s championship game. Kickoff for MLS Cup 2009 is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT (live on ESPN).
