Seattle getting set for MLS Cup

On my way back from the sunshine to this rain this morning I learned that there is some work being done atop the Space Needle this week.
Workers are painting (UPDATE 4:57 p.m.- HAVE PAINTED) a 15-foot high Seattle MLS Cup logo on top of the Needle. The weather is slowing down the progress of what will be a larger project which should be done sometime this week, but the logo is completed.

One more thing, just learned that Sounders FC player Osvaldo Alonso is visiting patients and their families at the Ronald McDonald House in Seattle today at 4:30. You might recall that he and Fredy Montero appeared at a McDonald’s restaurant in town, and that led to something being worked out with the RMH.
