Sounders FC 2010 training camp opens Jan. 25

That’s the word from the club today. I would assume it will be at Starfire. Also, the team will conduct fitness training in the Phoenix area from February 1 to February 8 or 9. Of course this is all contingent on the approval of the CBA, failure to do so will cause irreparable damage to a league still so new and trying to gain a solid foothold in the U.S. sports landscape.
Another camp, featuring training games, will be held at La Manga Club in southeastern Spain from February 16 to 26 or 27.
Season Ticket Renewal Update
Sounders FC season ticket renewals have reached 93 percent and it’s anticipated that figure will rise to 95 percent. The club is using the same seating manifest as that of the playoff match versus Houston, which brings the capacity of the stadium to approximately 35,500.
The additional seats, located in the loge of the upper deck, feature sideline viewing, theater-style seats and all-inclusive stadium snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
Deposits for 2010 season tickets are currently being accepted.
