One practice, then weekend off for Sounders FC

But of course the good news is that everyone in Sounder-land is breathing a sigh of relief now that the MLS CBA talks have been extended. Here’s my article on that for today.
Off to practice, but it was a great night at Copper Cart last night, honored to have so many great people come out for even just a little while. I was struck by the presence of my Spanish-language media friends together with English-speaking media members and thought about how I am sort of a bridge between the two. Bringing people together in the world, that’s what I’m about! Which is why I love soccer, because it accomplishes the same thing.
Also very moved to have James Riley make an appearance. I’ve only been around this team a year, and James took time out of his night to come and say thanks. To have a professional athlete, especially one who carries himself like James does, do that, it is something I will never forget.
OK sorry if I got a little sappy there. Here’s a photo.
