Sounders FC v. Vancouver tickets go on sale tomorrow

Just wanted to issue a reminder that tickets for the upcoming Sounders FC preseason game against the Whitecaps in Vancouver go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. Last I checked, there are also tickets available for the home game against Portland on March 11, the proceeds of which will go to local charities.
Also, per request for more Sounders coverage, I also wanted to offer a couple thoughts on some of the team’s recent roster moves. Adding Jeff Parke to training camp definitely garnered the most interest.
While I don’t know the exact circumstances, I would guess that the team is hoping to demonstrate his value to other teams around the league. Seattle’s defense — which was tied for league best in goals allowed — appears to be in pretty good shape, especially in the middle with Hurtado, Marshall, Ianni, Graham and even Wahl. Thus the team would probably do best to trade him. And since Parke has little value right now around MLS, perhaps letting him train and show his skills could help garner interest from other teams.
Could be best for all parties involved. Again, just speculation.
Additionally, Matt Gaschk talked to Sigi Schmid about some of the roster moves. Apparently the club is carrying an optimistic tone about Parke (which would appear consistent with my thoughts above) and wanted to bring Josh Gardner on the trip, but outside circumstances got in the way — so he is definitely still in the picture.
Lastly, bringing along Tye Perdido — who was able to get an excused absence from school — is a good sign for him. Though I would guess the prospects for Yakir Lusky, Gao Leilei and Jarrod Smith to make the team are slim. We might still see them around though.
I look forward to your thoughts and discussion. Again, many of you have probably followed training closer than I have so far.
