Competition Saturday on first road game of the preseason

About to start my journey up to Canada, but first I wanted to provide this quote from Sounders FC coach Sigi Schmid.
I asked him what there is to gain in playing a true road game for the first time.

“What there is to gain is we’re going to play in front of a crowd that’s enthusiastic, is going to bring their emotion into the game and that’s always good because it gets our players fired up. It also allows you to see how certain players react under that pressure. Some guys are great at practice and are great when there’s no adrenaline, no pressure and then they react a little differently under pressure. So it gives us a chance to look at that part of it.”

Sounds like this is a time for some fringe players to make a case for those final roster spots. Whitecaps players are hoping to impress too, as Vancouver makes the jump to MLS next year and I’m sure all the guys will want to be a part of that.
Should provide for some entertainment.
