Report: MLS players vote overwhelmingly to strike if no CBA deal reached by 3/25

Steven Goff of the Washington Post is the reporting that MLS players have voted 383 for a strike and two against if no deal is reached in collective bargaining agreement negotiations by March 25, the date of the season opener here in Seattle.
On source told Goff: “We will not start the season without a new agreement,” said a veteran player, who requested anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the negotiations. “To be quite blunt, it doesn’t look good at all.”
Obviously this isn’t positive news and Sounders FC fans might be wondering if tonight’s game against Portland at Qwest Field will be the team’s last home game in a while. Be assured that when news is leaked in a process like this, it is for a purpose (a bargaining technique maybe?) and you have to think the league received the message loud and clear.
What are your thoughts on the recent developments?
