Sounders FC vs. Seattle University — reserve match live thread

Postgame — Some of the guys looked pretty good out there today. Jeff Parke built off his appearance Thursday and was dominant in the back. Nathan Sturgis had a solid showing and the middle, and Stephen King showed well late in the game also.
Roger Levesque was the obvious star with a brace. As of right now, I’d say he starts on the right flank in the season opener. Also, James Riley and Tyson Wahl proved that they are a couple of reliables in the back. Terry Boss was an intimidating presence in goal.
Other guys showed well in spurts, including David Estrada and Sanna Nyassi, but consistency is the issue with them.
It will be interesting to see who’s in camp next week. I’d expect some moves between now and then.
Final. Sounders FC 4, Seattle U. 0 — Nice to see some goals scored today.
68th minute — Time estimated a little. Neagle and Wallace come on for Estrada and Wahl. Formation looks like this:
—McLoughlin-Perdido—
Neagle—————Nyassi
—–Sturgis—King———
Scott-Ianni-Wallace-Riley
————Carillo———–
59th minute — Perdido on for Fucito. Probably the last time the Sounders FC will see the Hawaiian before he goes back to Gonzaga.
52nd minute — GOAL SEATTLE! Patrick Ianni lobbed a cross from the right side that ducks under the crossbar for a goal. Hard to say what happened there, but it doesn’t look like he planned it. This might be the best way to describe it. Something like that.
46th minute — The second half is underway. Ellis McLoughlin is in for Levesque. Patrick Ianni is in for Parke. Derby Carillo is in for Boss.
HALFTIME. Sounders FC 3, Seattle U. 0 — Solid showing so far, albeit in a reserve game. Levesque’s two goals were class finishes. Fucito’s strike was nice too. I’ve thought Sturgis and Parke were out standouts, and the two fullbacks (Wahl and Riley) also looked good.
Not sure the others have done much to distinguish themselves.
42nd minute — Play has evened out a little bit, and Terry Boss has done well to preserve the shutout so far.
22nd minute — GOAL SEATTLE! Nyassi beats his defender and crosses to the middle where Levesque heads in his second. The rout is on.
18th minute — GOAL SEATTLE! Mike Fucito fires a low, hard shot into the corner past a diving goalkeeper.
16th minute — Nyassi fires a hard shot that’s saved well and cleared. Seattle’s best have been Sturgis and Parke in my opinion.
7th minute — GOAL SEATTLE! Nate Sturgis takes a corner kick that was cleared out but he gets it back and swings in a cross that’s headed in by Roger Levesque. That wasn’t so hard eh? What offensive struggles, right?
1st minute — Here are the starters:
——-Levesque–Fucito—-
-Estrada—————–Nyassi-
—–Sturgis——-King——–
Wahl—Scott—Parke—Riley
————Boss—————
Pregame: 15 minutes before kickoff. The players are doing some light jogging, stretching and drills to get loose.
Pregame: Checking in from Qwest Field for today’s reserve match. I’ll be providing semi-occasional updates. First off, I’ve been told the young Colombian Miguel Montano is scheduled to arrive in Seattle on Tuesday and possibly begin training with the team on Wednesday.
