LIVE THREAD: Seattle Sounders FC v. FC Dallas

FINAL: Dallas ties it in the 94th minute on a PK. 2-2 final.
90′: Three minutes of stoppage time. No corner kicks, right?
86′: Attendance: 8,512.
78′: Freddie Ljungberg in for Fredy Montero.
74′: Terry Boss makes a big save on an Atiba Harris header from in front of the net.
73′: Dallas sub: Brek Shea in for Benitez. Can Seattle hold onto this lead on the road?
69′: Seattle sub. Noonan in for Estrada.
65′: Writing duties are starting to take over. Be sure to keep the discussion going in the comments section. Avila comes in for Dallas, McCarty out.
55′: GOAL MONTERO! Fredy earns a foul about 35 yards out and crushes a bending free kick past the diving Sala for the 2-1 lead.
52′: Zakuani plays Montero through on goal. He’s onside! But chips the ball right at Sala. Disappointing effort there. Zakuani could have two assists in this half to go with his goal.
51′: Pearce with a half-cross/half-shot on goal. Boss yet to be tested, but you have to think Dallas will want to.
46′: MISS! Zakuani with a great feed to Levesque in front of the goal, but he can’t finish.
46′: Boss is in. Keller out with vision problems, I’m told.
HALFTIME: Tied at 1-1 here at Pizza Hut Park. Time to do a little writing, but we’ll pick things back up in a few.
45′: One minute of stoppage time. I think Seattle will be happy to take a 1-1 score to the break.
44′: Montero booked for a tackle from behind.
42′: Boss starts to warm up on the Seattle sideline. Keller looks to be favoring something.
38′: GOAL SEATTLE! Steve Zakuani took a pass along the left wing and probably dribbled 35 yards with the ball untouched and finished a shot past Sala.
36′: Sounders FC finally able to string some passes together. Maybe they needed half an hour to get settled and used to this new lineup.
30′: Not sure if this Seattle lineup is up to equalizing. Maybe they’ll prove me wrong.
27′: GOAL! Dallas leads 1-0. Keller took out Cunningham in the box. The Hoops forward takes his own PK and buries it low and to the left.

24′: Seattle can’t get anything going. Wonder how things would be with a full lineup of regulars.
21′: Yellow card to Tyrone Marshall for a foul on Harris, just outside the box.
20′: Sounders FC on its heels. The Hoops probably deserve a 1-0 lead right now, but the crossing and finishing touches aren’t there.
17′: Dallas picking up the pressure. The Seattle midfield can’t hold onto the ball. At all.
14′: Pretty even start so far, maybe the slight edge to Dallas. The Hoops could use some better service though.
As I type that, Harris gets played a nice through-ball, but Keller snags it.
11′: Pearce skies a cross WAY high and wide. Poor touch there.
7′: Local boy George John of Dallas booked for a hard foul.
6′: Evans clears a McCarty cross after a foul by Alonso.
4′: Up and down soccer so far. Seattle games do open up on the road. Levesque gets behind the defense, but is whistled for offsides.
2′: Some danger in the Seattle box on a Benitez cross. Keller and Hurtado do well to clear it. Looks like the refs are wearing ‘electricity’ yellow.
1′: And we’re off! Looks like Montero is playing higher than Levesque.
Pregame: Here comes the walkout. Seattle in green shirts and shorts, with blue socks. Dallas in the red-white striped tops, red shorts and socks.
Pregame: This is Dallas, so yes the NFL Draft is on in a television in the back. This stadium has a pretty cool (and popular) beer garden behind one of the goals.
Pregame: Both teams are warming up. Be sure to check out the starting lineups farther down on the blog — some surprises in the Sounders FC XI for sure.
We’re about 30 minutes from kickoff and the crowd is sparse, hopefully that picks up…
