Major League Soccer power rankings — week thirteen

I didn’t see the rankings get published on the web. So here’s how I see the MLS teams coming out of the break.

1. (1) Los Angeles Galaxy 10-1-2 — could go .500 and still finish first

2. (4) Real Salt Lake 7-3-2 — have the top-scoring offense in MLS

3. (2) Colorado Rapids 6-3-2 — surprisingly defense is leading them

4. (3) Columbus Crew 6-2-3 — winless in the last three games

5. (5) N.Y. Red Bulls 7-5-0 — won back-to-back games before the break

6. (6) Toronto FC 5-4-2 — should De-Ro be an MVP favorite? maybe

7. (7) S.J. Earthquakes 5-4-2 — how will the Sam Cronin move work out?

8. (8) FC Dallas 3-2-6 — Brek Shea is emerging into a star for the Hoops

9. (9) Chicago Fire 3-3-5 — starting to figure things out, unbeaten in four

10. (11) Houston Dynamo 5-7-1 — watch out, losers of three straight

11. (10) Sounders FC 4-6-3 — need Nkufo and fast, when’s he coming?

12. (12) K.C. Wizards 3-5-3 — get a much needed win before the break

13. (13) N.E. Revolution 3-7-2 — Ralston’s elbow injury sums up the year

14. (16) D.C. United 3-8-1 — on the up? won in Seattle and signed a new DP

15. (14) Chivas USA 3-8-1 — definitely in trouble after losing five in a row

16. (15) Philadelphia Union 2-7-1 — will a new stadium bring optimism?
