We’re down to the final four! The two teams I picked to make the final before the tournament started are still alive, so I have to go with them.

Netherlands over Uruguay — Most people will be making this pick, but I had the Oranje in the final from Day One. The absence of Luis Suarez really hurts Uruguay, who now just have one target guy in Diego Forlan. Led by the maestro Wesley Sneijder, I expect the Dutch to control the game and advance comfortably.
Spain over Germany — I think Jogi Loew’s side has been the toast of the tournament so far. Clearly the best in the field so far. But I’m sticking with my original pick. The young German kids have to be due for a let down and Spain’s possession game could frustrate ’em. I also picked La Furia Roja to win it all, so I’m hitched to that wagon until they’re out.
