Sounders FC training at Starfire on Monday — photo reel

The clouds and cold-weather clothing were out at a windy Starfire Sports Complex today for Sounders FC training. The team takes off for D.C. tomorrow, where it will meet forward Blaise Nkufo in preparation for Thursday’s road match against D.C. United.

Freddie Ljungberg, after missing a game with a sore ankle, was back in action and in full training, seemingly without limitations. Brad Evans and Michael Fucito did a little fitness work with the team in the beginning.

Mike Seamon, who suffered an ankle knock in pregame Sunday, had a light day and was on the stationary bike for most of the day. Let’s get to the shots.

* * *

1. Of injuries and suspensions. Think Ljungberg will be manning the right flank vs. D.C.?

2. Some of Sunday’s starters played soccer tennis/volleyball on a regeneration day.

3. You can’t see it here, but Terry Boss was knocking some guys around in a scrimmage.

4. A token snapshot of the scrimmage. Pete Vagenas had the golden-goal winner in the end.

5. James Riley, who was also on a regeneration day, scouts the action from the sideline.
