We’re about an hour from kickoff in this big Western Conference showdown and the Freddie Ljungberg-led Chicago Fire are taking on New York on the big screen. A lot of Houston guys have connections to the Pacific Northwest and there are a couple Sounders who have worn orange in the past.
I wasn’t able to get to a prediction post this weekend (close friend got married), but I’ll call for a 2-1 Sounders FC win. The guys in green are on a roll and I’m not sure Houston is the team to come into Qwest and ruin that.
It will be interesting to see if Seattle defender Jeff Parke is able to go after sustaining a concussion against San Jose as guarding Brian Ching will be a key for the home team.
Let me know your predicted score in the comments section. I’ll post lineups here when they become available.
