Sounders FC training Monday at Starfire — photo reel

Certainly the information on the Chivas exhibition (aka Friendly C) coming from Mexico was a bit unexpected as Sounders FC was set to make an announcement later this week. It appears as though the visitors were eager to get the news out.

Anyways, Seattle held its first local practice in a week on Monday at Starfire. Almost all of the usual bodies were present. Defender Patrick Ianni is under the weather, according the coach Sigi Schmid, and wasn’t around. Several others were limited, including Steve Zakuani, as he is still bothered by a pelvic strain.

Mike Fucito, however, is out in full training, and Jamel Wallace and Tye Perdido were on hand to train also. Cameras were limited to the final minutes as the team prepares for the Monterrey game Wednesday.

* * *

1. After several variations of scrimmage work, the guys worked on a finishing drill at the end.

2. You can see Perdido here in green. No longer with the ponytail we got to know in preseason.

3. Time to stretch. The team’s next three games will all be in different competitions.
