A slow start for me on the notes (had to get to some other blog posts), but this is definitely a crucial game. Don’t get caught looking ahead to the U.S. Open Cup final. Seattle is hosting a desperate Toronto team, which means anything can happen.
Sounders FC’s 7-1-3 streak in league over the last two months is the best in MLS. Toronto is 2-8-2 on the road and playing on an artificial surface, that can’t help their cause.
Also, Seattle is kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness month here, so the match will be played with a pink Jabulani ball from Adidas and players will have pink ribbons on their jerseys. Steve Zakuani had some pink in his shoes at training yesterday, not sure if he’ll play with him.
Anyways, here are the lineups:
Sounders FC lineup: GK Kasey Keller, D James Riley, D Patrick Ianni, D Jeff Parke, D Leo Gonzalez, M Sanna Nyassi, M Osvaldo Alonso, M Nathan Sturgis, M Steve Zakuani, F Fredy Montero, F Blaise Nkufo

Toronto FC lineup: GK Stefan Frei, D Dan Gargan, D Adrian Cann, D Nana Attakora, D Ty Harden, M Dwayne De Rosario, M Julian de Guzman, M Nick LaBrocca, M Jacob Peterson, F Maicon Santos, F Chad Barrett
