Beating Toronto 3-2 on Saturday afternoon was just the first of many happy results for Sounders FC. In MLS action elsewhere, San Jose was held to a draw against Columbus. Then Kansas City, the nearest and only competitor to Seattle for a playoff spot, lost on the road to New York. Lastly, Colorado lost to D.C. United.
Pretty much another clean sweep of positive results for the guys in rave green.
Now whether finishing 4th in the conference (thus having to go through the loaded West instead of the lowly East en route to the MLS Cup) would be a benefit for Sounders FC is an issue for another matter.
Anyways, not a bad looking table eh? And one final note, Sounders FC would clinch a playoff berth in Kansas City on Saturday with at least a draw. That would give Seattle the head-to-head tiebreaker at 1-0-1 should the two teams tie at 43 points.
