Registration Now Underway For Kitsap Pumas Indoor Professional Soccer Open Tryouts, Sat. Oct. 9, 11a.m. – 2 p.m.

Bremerton, Wash. – The Kitsap Soccer Club (Pumas) today announces starting goalkeeper Dustyn Brim as player/coach for the club’s foray into the world of professional indoor soccer.

“This is a great opportunity and should be a lot of fun,” said Brim. “I pretty much know how all the guys from the our club play, coming in,” he continued, “so I won’t need to learn lineups. We have a good core of guys, personalities and characters.”

Brim, coming off successful back surgery did express some disappointment as his rehab schedule will conflict with a portion of the indoor season. “It will be hard to stand on the sideline and not affect play the way I’m used to,” he said.

“This will be a hardworking team – very blue collar and ‘head down,'” said Brim. “We won’t give up on plays, I guarantee that.”

Open tryouts will be held this coming Saturday morning at the Olympic Soccer and Sports Center in Bremerton, Wash. Check in starts at 10:30 a.m. and tryouts run from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Registration is $50 per player.

The club will play in the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) for the upcoming fall/winter professional indoor soccer league. Kitsap will play a 12-game schedule.

All trialists must complete registration forms and pay their fee prior to trying out.

“We have a great group of fans and I expect they’ll come out and support us – especially during the winter when there isn’t a great deal of options. That will be a good tie in for the outdoor season as well. The more fans we can pack in, the louder it will be – and that noise will help us – and should intimidate opponents. I hope they bring the noise.”

Brim’s coaching staff will named soon.
