Sounders FC v. CD Saprissa, pregame notes and lineups

saprissa.JPGWe’re not expecting a big crowd for this one, the final group-stage game for Seattle in the CONCACAF Champions League. While the result won’t mean much to the Sounders, Saprissa would clinch a berth in the quarterfinals with a win.

The Costa Rican visitors will face a hot team, however — both the starters and reserves. Sounders FC has won six games in a row in all competitions (seven if you want to include the Chivas friendly).

The lineups are in and Kasey Keller will make a surprise start in goal. Not sure what went behind that move. Fredy Montero is also not listed on the 18, so apparently Sigi Schmid changed his mind about giving the young forward some time tonight. Peter Vagenas also making his first start in a while.

Anyways, here are the lineups. What are you looking forward to in this one?

Sounders FC starting lineup: GK Kasey Keller, D Zach Scott, D Tyrone Marshall, D Taylor Graham, D Tyson Wahl, M Alvaro Fernandez, M Mike Seamon, M Peter Vagenas, M Roger Levesque, F Mike Fucito, F Nate Jaqua

Sounders FC reserves: GK Terry Boss, M David Estrada, D Leo Gonzalez, M Miguel Montano, M Sanna Nyassi, D Jeff Parke, M Nathan Sturgis

C.D. Saprissa starting lineup: GK Minor Alvarez, D Gabriel Badilla, D Jose Mena, D Alexander Robinson, M Ricardo Blanco, M Walter Centeno, M David Guzman, M Mauricio Castillo, M Javier Loaiza, F Jairo Arrieta, F Alejandro Sequeira

C.D. Saprissa reserves: GK Fausto Gonzalez, D Yader Balladares, M Douglas Sequeira, M Luis Cordero, F Josue Martinez, M Armando Alonso, F Alonso Solis
