If you’ve followed my predictions this season you probably know they’re more of a kiss of death than something that instills confidence. With that in mind, Sounders FC fans will probably rejoice that I’m calling for a Real Salt Lake-Los Angeles final in the West. It’s a match-up thing more than anything else; the Galaxy was the only team that Seattle didn’t even earn a point against in 2010.
Sadly enough, if Sounders FC or FC Dallas were in the East, I’d pick them to go to the MLS Cup. Such is the ridiculous nature of this year’s playoff set-up. Seattle beat every MLS team this season except RSL, L.A. and FCD — it figures that those three teams are on the same side of the bracket.
Anyways, I think Colorado makes a run to the championship game on the other side, led by the phenomenal duo of Omar Cummings and Conor Casey. In Toronto, I’m calling for Jason Kreis and RSL to lift up the trophy again at the end.
