FINAL. Disappointing result on a disappointing night for Sounders FC at home. Seattle now has to go win on the road in the Home Depot Center next Sunday. More to come.

90+2′: Nkufo booked for kicking the ball as Rickett’s dropped to punt the ball.

90′: Five minutes of stoppage time. Wow, that’s a lot in my view.

85′: MISS! Juninho and Magee combine masterfully, but the Brazilian pushes a shot just wide. Would’ve been a huge goal.

84′: L.A. sub: Berhalter in for Lewis.

82′: Yellow card to L.A.’s Kirovski. Sounders not getting many scoring chances against L.A.’s organized backline.

81′: Seattle sub: Jaqua on, Sturgis off. Home team needs something.

73′: L.A. sub. Buddle off. Kirovski on. One minute later Sounders FC makes a move: Nyassi off, Fernandez in.

70′: L.A. sub. Kovalenko off. Chris Birchall on.

68′: Parke out with an ankle sprain.

65′: Kovalenko finally booked for a foul on Nkufo. He’s had about 10 of ’em. Elsewhere Marshall comes on for Parke.

63′: Parke needs a sub, he calls to the bench. Elsewhere a Zakuani cross earns a corner kick but it’s cleared.

58′: Parke getting treatment. Jogs it off on the sideline.

55:: Qwest Field attendance: 35,521. Second largest MLS quarterfinal crowd. Seattle had 35,807 last year against Houston.

49′: Juninho booked for a hard sliding tackle on Zakuani. Will several other yellow cards follow? Moments later Montero is booked for tripping Donovan. Guess I was right.

48′: Zakuani set up with an open chance but he fires it wide. Sounders will need to make the most of their opportunities from now on.

46′: And we’re off in the second half. Updates will be more limited the next 45 minutes due to writing duties but feel free to comment along in the Facebook ap or comments section.

Halftime: Some stats:

Shots: SEA 10, LAG 7

Shots on goal: SEA 7, LAG 4

Fouls: SEA 5, LAG 9

Offsides: SEA 2, LAG 1

Corner kicks: SEA 5, LAG 3

Saves: SEA 3, LAG 7

Halftime: A miraculous goal by Edson Buddle has stunned the home crowd here. Seattle had plenty of chances and there’s no reason to think they can’t make it 1-1, but the Sounders have their work cut out for them. More to come.

45′: Gonzalez with a cross but Nkufo can’t get much on the header. One minutes of stoppage time to be played.

41′: Crowd noticeably stunned. Sounders will get a good chance after another Kovalenko foul. Fans want a booking on the physical Ukrainian but he gets a warning. Sturgis fires a shot to the near post, but it’s saved by Ricketts.

38′: GOAL LOS ANGELES! Not sure how it happened but Edson Buddle collects a ball won by Omar Gonzalez and lofts a hopeful shot from some 30-35 yards that sails over Kasey Keller and into the net at the far post. Another highlight-worthy goal from L.A. against Seattle and the Galaxy leads 1-0.

36′: Sounders with a lot of passing the L.A. penalty box. Finally Nkufo takes a shot but it’s right at Ricketts. Zakuani and Montero passed on shooting chances.

34′: Zakuani with some space but his shot is blocked. L.A. flies down the field and Beckham swings in a cross that’s cleared. I can barely keep up with the action!

30′: Montero with a cross cleared and Nkufo with a shot blocked. On the other end Donovan’s has a shot blocked. Definitely a more up-and-down game than I was expecting. Moments later Donovan fires another long-range shot and Keller knocks it out for a corner kick. It’s eventually cleared.

29′: Corner kick to L.A. Buddle heads it wide. The L.A. forward is winning a lot of those, but not getting them on target.

26′: Montero doesn’t get the call after Kovalenko shoves him. Then Beckham gets a foul call against Gonzalez. Hmmmmm. Beckham curls in a free kick and Buddle heads it wide.

23′: Montero with some quick feet in the Galaxy defensive third, cleans space for a left-footed shot but it’s saved by Ricketts. On the corner kick, Ianni flicks it to Montero, but his header is again saved by the L.A. goalkeeper.

22′: Nkufo fouled by Franklin and isn’t happy about it. Sturgis curls in another free kick but it bounces to Ricketts.

18′: Kovalenko takes out Alonso. Sturgis with a great cross and Parke rises well to head it, but it’s just wide. Good chance there.

13′: The Galaxy with the better of the play so far. Nyassi messed up a cross on the right. Other than that, not much doing for Seattle recently.

11′: Another free kick for Beckham, it’s a dangerous cross but headed out for a goal kick.

9′: DeLaGarza takes out Montero on the other end. Very physical to start. Not as though anyone expected any different. Sturgis curls in a dangerous free kick, but it doesn’t find anyone.

7′: Riley cleans out Donovan with a sliding tackle on the left side. Lucky not to get a card for that. Beckham takes the free kick, shoots it on goal from a tough angle but Keller palms it over.

6′: Two bad giveaways in a row by Gonzalez. Seattle unharmed however. Emotional start to this one.

4′: Alonso and Kovalenko get into it after an Ozzie foul. Not really a surprise there. Those two are very intense. Beckham free kick headed out by Buddle.

1′: Goal called back! Zakuani knocks in a rebound off Alonso’s shot, but he was clearly offside. Good call.

1′: And we’re off! Sounders attacking the south end.

Pregame: Here’s the walkout. Crowd is putting in an A-effort so far. Reminds me a lot of the U.S. Open Cup final. Maybe better.

Pregame: Boos reign while L.A.’s lineup is announced. Energy is building here. Great atmosphere. I’ve heard MLS commissioner Don Garber isn’t expected to be here. He’s missing out.

Pregame: You’ll notice a little Facebook ap on the right side of this live thread. I don’t know much about it but feel free to comment along.

Pregame: Teams warming up here about 30 minutes from an expected 5:18 p.m. kickoff. Looks like L.A. will be in all white and I expect Seattle to be in the traditional green-blue-green uniform combination at home. The crowd is starting to fill in. We should have a packed house and a great atmosphere.
