CCL quarterfinal draw announced, pairs RSL and Columbus

ccl draw.jpgThe quarterfinal draw (seen above) for the CONCACAF Champions League was announced Monday and MLS’s two teams will face off right away. What’s also noteworthy about the schedule is that all four Mexican teams are on one half of the bracket, meaning there’s a great chance either Real Salt Lake or Columbus could advance to the championship.

The quarterfinal round will be played in February and March of next year. The semifinals and final continue through April. Will you still pay attention to the tournament with Sounders FC eliminated?

Also of note on the international front, it appears as though the door is open for MLS teams to join the Copa Libertadores. And you thought CCL travel was rough…
