Steve Zakuani to co-host charity fundraiser in Bremerton

Seattle Sounders FC Star Steve Zakuani to Lead Charity Fundraiser at Local Sports Center to Benefit Kingdom Hope & America Scores Seattle

November 15, 2010, Bremerton, WA – Olympic Soccer & Sports Center (OSSC) announced today they will welcome Seattle Sounder and Kingdom Hope founder Steve Zakuani to their facility in Bremerton on Saturday, December 11 to raise money for charity. Steve will conduct a soccer clinic at OSSC from 2-4pm for children ages 9-15. The clinic will encompass basic and advanced soccer skills, as well as competitive games. Immediately following the clinic, Steve will sign autographs for anyone who wishes to participate.

In addition to Zakuani, the clinic may feature as many as two other players from Seattle Sounders FC. These players will be announced later (schedules pending). The cost for the clinic will be $100 per child, which includes two hours of field time with Steve, a t-shirt and a soccer ball. Registration is limited to the first 50 children. Autographs will be $5 each, and will be limited to one autograph per person. Proceeds benefit Kingdom Hope and America Scores Seattle.

Steve Zakuani was selected in first round of the MLS Super Draft in 2009 by the Seattle Sounders FC. Since his introduction, Steve has helped lead the team to two consecutive US Open Cup Championships and has played a vital role in promoting soccer’s popularity in Seattle. He also played in the Arsenal FC youth system and later for the University of Akron, where he lead the nation in goals scored.

Kingdom Hope is a non-profit organization whose aim is to help and inspire individuals to become great achievers in all areas of life. Through camps, clinics, a scholarship fund, and soccer academies, Kingdom Hope has a passion to help aspiring soccer players achieve and realize their dreams. Through mentoring and life-coaching seminars aimed at both soccer and non-soccer players, Kingdom Hope strives to help individuals maximize their potential for greatness by providing teaching on topic encompassing all areas vital to a successful life.
