Sounders FC training Wednesday at Starfire — photo reel

Certainly less people around today at practice. Less media and also less players it looked like. Information on the invitees has been tough to gather as they cycle in and out, so maybe it’s good not to get too attached to all the new names and bodies right now. Maybe in a month or so.

One new face that was around was Jamel Wallace, the team’s fourth-round pick from 2010. He was jogging on the side and got some treatment, so he’s likely carrying an injury.

On the injury front, Nate Jaqua and Taylor Graham didn’t do any work outside. Pat Noonan, Jhon Kennedy Hurtado and Brad Evans were each limited. Evans did more than the others today. Noonan more than El Presidente.

Some of the highlights: Steve Zakuani had a crazy good strike in a scrimmage and looked very sharp. Mike Fucito blasted a shot off the crossbar. Leone Cruz, the rookie centerback, is someone that continues to impress me. I certainly expect O’Brian White and Erik Friberg to contribute as well from what I’ve seen. Let’s get to the shots.

* * *

1. Overall it was another sharp, enthusiastic session.
