Cascadia Summit sold out despite Ticketmaster issues

Sounders FC’s two preseason games against Portland and Vancouver at the March 4-6 Cascadia Summit are sold out. Apparently there were some issues for some fans on Ticketmaster this morning, but eventually all the seats for Seattle’s games at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila were filled.

The majority of the tickets for the March 5 game between the Timbers and Whitecaps are being sold by those clubs.

Also, the date for buying tickets for the March 9 Community Shield match against Colorado has been pushed up to 10 a.m. Wednesday (tomorrow morning).

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-17, free for younger children and available through SoundersFC.com, 877-MLS-GOAL, all Ticketmaster outlets and the Qwest Field Box office. Proceeds go to benefit the teams charitable partners.

I understand some fans faced some issues trying to buy Cascadia Summit tickets this morning through Ticketmaster, particularly the two-game packages. While I don’t know all the specific problems you had, here’s a response I got from a team spokesman.

“A limited number of 2-game packages quickly sold out, primarily due to the fact that Portland single-game sales took most of the inventory. The Portland game sold out shortly after 10 a.m., thereby making the packages no longer an option.”
