Sounders FC training Thursday at Starfire — photo reel

Wanted to get to this earlier, but an afternoon live chat and tracking down Sanna Nyassi at Rapids practice (look for that post later tonight) put me a little behind. None of the starters + Erik Friberg were at training when I arrived. I was told they were in the gym for their regeneration day after the game.

It was good to see Mike Seamon up and about after being diagnosed with a complicated leg injury. He said in passing that he was very happy to get back on the field. He worked mostly on the side with forward Nate Jaqua. The injured Brad Evans and Mike Fucito watched the other action on the sideline.

To make up for the numbers Sounders FC has a few academy kids around (if my memory serves Darwin Jones and Jamael Cox were among the group) and also an invitee or two. Zach Scott‘s brother, Daniel, was around I was told. With the starters unavailable, the team needed some extra bodies to run an 11v11.

Here were the lineups:

Blue: GK Terry Boss, RB Roger Levesque, CB Zach Scott, CB Patrick Ianni, LB Tyson Wahl, RM Academy/Invitee, CM Servando Carrasco, CM Jamael Cox?, LM Michael Tetteh, F Darwin Jones?, F Lamar Neagle

Orange: GK Josh Ford, RB Ezra Hendrickson, CB Taylor Graham, CB Daniel Scott, LB Academy/Invitee, RM Mauro Rosales, CM Pat Noonan, CM Academy/Invitee, LM Miguel Montano, F O’Brian White, F David Estrada

Here are the pics:

1. Brian Schmetzer was the center ref today. Called a couple PKs, but I’m not judging…

2. It’s been a big couple days for Josh Ford, your third goalkeeper this season.

3. Here Nate Jaqua and Mike Seamon train to the side.

4. Yes, Mauro Rosales is still around. He’s off to the right in this picture.

5. The orange team put away a PK here. I think it was O’Brian White.
