Sounders FC training on a rainy Saturday — photo reel

It was a wet day out at Starfire today. A very wet day. I strolled in about a half hour into training and bumped into Mike Fucito and Brad Evans walking out — so I’m sure how much, if any, work they were able to put in.

The team split into three groups when I was there. Two groups played in a small-side scrimmage on grass (some rare work on that field) while the other group killed time on the turf.

I wasn’t able to get a great look at all the action in the elements but I thought Pat Noonan and Miguel Montano had some good moments, which is interesting because the team still has to decide if it wants them. Mauro Rosales was still around too.

Let’s get to some pics:

1. Here’s the look of the scrimmage. Take note of the precipitation.

2. Here’s a look at what the guys were up to on the side.

3. Steve Zakuani jogs around. That’s the extent of the work I saw him do.

4. David Estrada leaps for a header during a finishing drill. Josh Ford in goal.

5. Not like Santa Barbara, eh Michael Tetteh?
