Some gameday reading as First Kick approaches

— It was Kasey Keller Day today in our coverage, as the Sounders FC captain and U.S. soccer legend has said he’ll retire after this season. You’ve surely seen a lot of Keller stories around the past few days, but feel free to take in my offering. Also, another soccer guy in our office, sports producer Bob Wickwire, will have a weekly Q&A feature with the veteran goalkeeper called “Kickin’ it with Kasey Keller.” Be sure to check out the first edition.

— That Qwest Field continues to be recognized as the best venue in MLS should be no surprise to us. Recently the league’s players voted Seattle the toughest place to play.

— A couple videos for you, should they suit your fancy: first an interview in Spanish with Jhon Kennedy “El Presidente” Hurtado and also a new Sounders anthem.

— Some Sounders related previews from elsewhere: Goal.com, FOX Sports and ESPN.com.
