Sounders FC vs. Chicago Fire, pregame and lineups

chicago0409.JPGIt’s a cool afternoon out here at Qwest Field — no sun, but no rain either. Seems to me a fine day for Sounders FC to get its first win of the season and I predicted as much in the blog post below.

Seattle swept the 2010 season series against the Fire with late goals in each of the two games. Those goal-scorers, however, won’t be available tonight: Fredy Montero (wrist) and Blaise Nkufo (gone). I expect to see a lineup that’s mostly the same from the San Jose game, which means it probably won’t be.

I’ll post the lineups here once they become available around 12:15 p.m. or so. Let me know what you’re looking forward to in this one.

Sounders FC lineup: GK Kasey Keller, D James Riley, D Jeff Parke, D Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, D Leo Gonzalez, M Brad Evans, M Osvaldo Alonso, M Mauro Rosales, F Erik Friberg, F O’Brian White, F Steve Zakuani

Sounders FC reserves: GK Terry Boss, D Patrick Ianni, D Zach Scott, M Servando Carrasco, M Alvaro Fernandez, F Nate Jaqua, M/F Lamar Neagle

Chicago Fire starting lineup: GK Sean Johnson, D Jalil Anibaba, D Dasan Robinson, D Cory Gibbs, D Gonzalo Segares, M Logan Pause, M Marco Pappa, M Mike Videira, F Patrick Nyarko F Diego Chaves, F Gaston Puerari

Chicago Fire reserves: GK Jon Conway, D Yamith Cuesta, F Davis Paul, M Marko Maric, M Daniel Paladini, F Dominic Oduro, F Orr Barouch
