My Major League Soccer power rankings — week nine

Real Salt Lake Logo.jpg1. (1) Real Salt Lake 5-1-0

Mettle will be tested after superstar Javier Morales suffered a serious injury.

2. (2) New York Red Bulls 4-1-3

Bursting with confidence. Luke Rodgers called out Landon Donovan this week.

3. (4) Los Angeles Galaxy 4-2-4

Donovan responded on Twitter: “I’m confused, who is Luke Rogers?”

4. (8) Colorado Rapids 4-3-2

Unbeaten in three games without the banned Mullan, who has seven more to go.

5. (3) Philadelphia Union 4-2-1

Might as well use binary scoreboards with these guys. Scores have only been 1-0, 0-1 or 1-1.

6. (7) Columbus Crew 3-1-4

Unbeaten streak now at seven games. Emilio Renteria has scored the team’s last four goals.

7. (6) Seattle Sounders FC 3-3-4

Time to make a run? Starting with surging Portland, next three games are all at home.

8. (10) Portland Timbers 4-3-1

Will debut its “Rose City Red” alternate uniforms in Saturday’s rivalry match at Qwest Field.

9. (5) Houston Dynamo 3-3-3

13 goals scored are the most in MLS, led by Will Bruin (four goals) and Cam Weaver (three).

10. (9) FC Dallas 3-3-2

Goalkeeper Kevin Hartman is still going strong, earning his MLS-record 95th shutout on Sat.

11. (14) D.C. United 3-4-2

League’s worst defense hasn’t allowed a goal in the run of play in the last two games.

12. (11) Chivas USA 2-3-3

Team-record five-game unbeaten streak came to an end. Doesn’t get easier going to N.Y.

13. (12) New England Revolution 2-3-4

Shut out in four of the last five games. Playing lowly Vancouver and S.J. might help.

14. (13) Sporting Kansas City 1-4-1

On a dreadful 0-4-1 streak, but could get DP forward Omar Bravo back from a sports hernia.

15. (18) Toronto FC 2-3-4

Joao Plata, listed at 5 feet 2, had a huge impact in winning weekend with goal and assist.

16. (15) Vancouver Whitecaps FC 1-4-4

Hasn’t won since Week 1. Desperately awaiting the return of captain Jay DeMerit.

17. (16) Chicago Fire 1-3-4

With a $45,000 salary, forward Diego Chaves (four goals) might be the steal of the league.

18. (17) San Jose Earthquakes 1-4-2

On a three-game losing streak and lost MF Simon Dawkins to a calf injury.

Alright, your turn. Where did I get it wrong folks?
