Sounders FC coach Sigi Schmid said today after practice that Steve Zakuani and O’Brian White have each been discharged from the hospital. Zakuani had been receiving treatment and undergoing tests since suffering a fractured leg in the Colorado game on April 22. White had surgery to remove a blood clot on April 27.

I asked Schmid if it was possible they might be at the game Saturday.

“Don’t know yet on either one,” he answered. “That’s something where we’ve reached out for them. We’re sort of letting them decide how they feel, whether they want to come or they don’t want to come. It all depends on their physical status as well, because the doctors are requiring a certain amount of rest for each of them right now as they recover. But they’re both doing better, they’re both making headway and hopefully within the next week or so — a week to two weeks — we’ll definitely be seeing them out here.”
