Brad Evans healing well and will be available against RSL

evans mug.jpgIt’s been about a week and a half since Sounders FC midfielder Brad Evans strained his adductor in the first half of a May 14 game against Portland. Since then he has made good progress and could return to the field Saturday in a big road game against Real Salt Lake.

“I feel good,” Evans said. “Hopefully I’ll go this weekend, but we’ll see. Today was a good training session to test it. No ill effects or anything like that, so we’ll keep the ball rolling going into tomorrow.”

Coach Sigi Schmid said there was a chance Evans could’ve made the 18-man gameday roster last night, “but we felt if something happened early and he had to play extended minutes yesterday it could’ve set him back again. He’ll definitely be I think within the 18 (on Saturday). I don’t know yet if he’s going to start or not.”
