Manchester United tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday

man utd logo.jpgGame tickets for Sounders FC’s friendly against Manchester United go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Seattle takes on the EPL champion, and UEFA Champions League runner-up, on July 20 at 7 p.m.

Ticket prices start at $47 and will be available by calling 1-800-745-3000 or online at www.SoundersFC.com.

Led by legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson, the Red Devils have won 11 EPL championships, three European titles and 19 domestic trophies. A first-team lineup is expected to include stars like Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, Dimitar Berbatov, Nani, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra and Ryan Giggs.

The exhibition is included in season-ticket packages — unless you opted out — and Qwest Field will be at full capacity. This is Manchester United’s third trip to Seattle, having played a 2003 friendly here against Celtic in front of 66,722 fans and a match against the NASL Sounders in 1982 in the EuroPac Cup tournament (Seattle won 3-0).
