Sounders FC vs. Portland Timbers, pregame and lineups

portland001.JPGPORTLAND–We’ve had a fun morning so far and there’s more to come. Kudos to Hope Solo and the U.S. women’s national team for a thrilling quarterfinal win against Brazil in the Women’s World Cup. Incredible comeback in the face of adversity.

This upcoming Sounders-Timbers game shouldn’t be bad either. The visitors just walked through the stadium en route to the locker room. ECS cheered. Timbers Army jeered. I caught 17 guys in the travel roster: Keller, Boss, Riley, Hurtado, Parke, Wahl, Scott, Ianni, Alonso, Fernandez, Rosales, Carrasco, Neagle, Noonan, Jaqua, Montero, Jaqua.

My guess is Erik Friberg is the 18th. Brad Evans was deemed doubtful by coach Sigi Schmid and Mike Fucito didn’t dress for the last game.

Lineups will be available around 12:15 p.m. and I’ll post them below. More pictures after the jump:

Sounders FC lineup: GK Kasey Keller, D James Riley, D Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, D Jeff Parke, D Tyson Wahl, M Osvaldo Alonso, M Erik Friberg, M Alvaro Fernandez, M Mauro Rosales, F Fredy Montero, F Roger Levesque

Sounders FC bench: GK Terry Boss, D Zach Scott, D Patrick Ianni, M Servando Carrasco, M Lamar Neagle, F/M Pat Noonan, F Nate Jaqua

Portland Timbers lineup: GK Troy Perkins, D Steve Purdy, D Eric Brunner, D Mamadou Danso, D Rodney Wallace, M James Marcelin, M Diego Chara, M Jack Jewsbury, M Darlington Nagbe, F Kalif Alhassan, F Jorge Perlaza
