Schmid said White, Evans, Hurtado got through the game OK

O’Brian White, Brad Evans and Jhon Kennedy Hurtado were each able to play the first 45 minutes in Tuesday’s reserve game against Vancouver. Coach Sigi Schmid provided an update today on how they did and how they’re doing physically…

* * *

(How did White, Evans, Hurtado do in the training game?) “It was OK. It was just to get them minutes on the field. O’Brian White I thought did all right. He was unlucky on the one opportunity where he had a handball called against him. I thought Brad Evans and Sanyang were a good combination the first half in midfield; I thought they pretty much controlled the game, so I was happy with that. I thought it took (Hurtado) about 15 minutes to get into the game, and then the last half hour I thought he was very good.”

(Did they get through it OK physically?) “Yeah. We told O’Brian to take the day off and we told JK to take the day off, but neither of them called or said there were any issues [Ed note: Evans did some light training on the side Wednesday].”

(And how’s Terry Boss’ recovery from the concussion going?) “He’s been cleared by the medical staff to resume training. He did a little bit of work yesterday, so this was the second day that he’s trained and we’ll see how he is tomorrow. We’ll have to take it day by day, but it looks good at this stage.”
