11 MLS players called up in Klinsmann’s latest USMNT squad

us logo small.jpgU.S. men’s national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann called in a 24-man squad for friendlies against Costa Rica (Sept. 2) and Belgium (Sept. 6). No Sounders FC players were included, but here’s an opponent watch:

Columbus Crew midfielder Robbie Rogers was called in, but it sounds like he’s been dealing with an ankle issue this week anyways in preparation for Saturday’s game at CenturyLink Field. The FC Dallas duo of Brek Shea and Zach Loyd appear likely out of the picture for Tuesday’s U.S. Open Cup semifinal at Starfire Stadium.
