FINAL: Real Salt Lake 2, Sounders FC 1, game thread

I’m also on Mariners duty tonight, so I have to run over to Safeco Field and will be slow on postgame updates. Here’s a link to my Twitter feed with a couple notes.

FINAL. Real Salt Lake 2, Sounders FC 1. Seattle hadn’t lost at home since May, a streak of 11 games.

90+4′: Alonso whistled for the foul and isn’t happy. Gestures angrily at the ref and slams the ball down. He gets a yellow card.

90′: Lamar Neagle pushes a shot inches wide in the 90th minute. Four minutes of stoppage time coming.

90′: Corner kick coming to Seattle. Cleared by Olave.

88′: Montero earns a dangerous free kick. Grabavoy fouled. Borchers blocks it.

86′: The Sounders earn a free kick, but the header goes wide.

85′: Seattle keeps pressing, but Salt Lake’s stingy defense is limiting the danger.

79′: RSL sub. Paulo Jr. on for Espindola, who takes his time coming off.

74′: Neagle with a great run. His shot is deflected out for a corner kick. Cleared by Johnson.

73′: Pat Noonan comes on for Mike Fucito.

72′: CenturyLink Field attendance: 35,940

69′: SAVE! Wahl nearly finds in equalizer off a corner kick, but Rimando makes a save off his face!

68′: Andy Williams booked for a foul on Neagle. Ned Grabavoy is coming on for Saborio.

65′: Lamar Neagle, one of the heroes in Sounders FC’s streak-snapping win earlier in RSL, comes on for Alvaro Fernandez in the 65th minute.

64′: Corner kick to Seattle. Rimando grabs it.

61′: Great cross by Rosales, but Flaco can’t get to it on the far post. Andy Williams defending.

60′: Stoppage now as Mike Fucito is down and gets looked at.

[Apparently the rest of the thread got chopped off somewhere. Oh well…]
