More than 33,000 tickets have been sold for Tuesday’s game

Tuesday will mark the largest crowd for a U.S. Open Cup final in the tournament’s 98-year-old history.

Sounders FC announced Monday that more than 33,000 tickets have been sold for the 7 p.m. game against the Chicago Fire at CenturyLink Field. Seattle support established a new record last year with 31,311 in attendance.

General manager Adrian Hanauer said on Sunday that he anticipates a crowd near 35,000. Tickets remain on sale and will be available to anyone who wants to come.
