Sounders FC vs. Chicago Fire, Open Cup pregame & lineups

centurylink open cup.jpgWelcome to CenturyLink Field, where it’s cool, cloudy and, so far, dry. I’ve tried to capture the upper deck seating configuration in the picture — half the upper deck appears closed on the west side and a few rows look open on the east side. The Hawks’ Nest is also open.

Most of you surely know what’s on the line in this one. Sounders FC is seeking to win three Open Cups in a row for the first time in 40+ years. Chicago is hoping to tie a record with its fifth total.

While an announcement hasn’t been made yet, it is expected that the winner will also qualify for the 2012-2013 CONCACAF Champions League — not to mention earn a $100,000 prize (the loser gets $50,000).

Lineups will be available around 6:15 p.m. and I’ll update this post accordingly. That’s when we’ll learn about Mauro Rosales‘ status and others.

Sounders FC lineup: GK Kasey Keller, D James Riley, D Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, D Jeff Parke, D Leo Gonzalez, M Osvaldo Alonso, M Brad Evans, M Alvaro Fernandez, M Lamar Neagle, F Fredy Montero, F Mike Fucito
