U.S. learns schedule for next round of CONCACAF qualifying

concacaf logo.jpgAs mentioned earlier, the U.S. had automatically advanced to the semifinal round of CONCACAF’s World Cup qualifying, but on Wednesday the fixtures were released.

Coach Jurgen Klinsmann‘s side needs a top-two finish against Group A opponents Jamaica, Guatemala and Antigua & Barbuda to secure a berth into the final round of qualifying — often referred to as “The Hexagonal” — against the two-top qualifiers in Groups B and C.

The top three teams after Hexagonal action are guaranteed a spot in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the fourth-place team plays a tiebreaker against the Oceania winner.

Here are the matchups for next year’s group-stage qualifying games — times and locations will be determined later. The rest of the groups and matchups are available here.
