As mentioned earlier, the U.S. had automatically advanced to the semifinal round of CONCACAF’s World Cup qualifying, but on Wednesday the fixtures were released.
Coach Jurgen Klinsmann‘s side needs a top-two finish against Group A opponents Jamaica, Guatemala and Antigua & Barbuda to secure a berth into the final round of qualifying — often referred to as “The Hexagonal” — against the two-top qualifiers in Groups B and C.
The top three teams after Hexagonal action are guaranteed a spot in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the fourth-place team plays a tiebreaker against the Oceania winner.
Here are the matchups for next year’s group-stage qualifying games — times and locations will be determined later. The rest of the groups and matchups are available here.
