The four-round MLS Supplemental Draft starts at 11 a.m. today and will take place on a leaguewide conference call. You can follow the action on a live tracker on MLSsoccer.com.
Sounders FC has four picks in the draft, as noted below. Seattle traded its first-round pick to Chicago in order to acquire forward Sammy Ochoa in the allocation process and picked up a second-round pick from FC Dallas in a trade involving goalkeeper Chris Seitz after the 2010 re-entry draft.
I’ll have updates below and throughout the day on the blog.
Round 2, No. 33 overall — D Tim Pontius, UC Santa Barbara
Round 2, No. 34 overall — M Jason Banton (international)
Round 3, No. 53 overall — F Abdul Aman, Washington
Round 4, No. 72 overall — D Wes Feigner, Cal Poly
Also, Seattle native and O’Dea grad Doug Herrick was drafted by Portland in the third round. He’s a goalkeeper out of St. Mary’s.
What do you think of the picks?
