Sorry the blog has been a little light today, but I was working on a Michael Gspurning profile throughout the afternoon. Here’s an online version of what will run in Tuesday’s newspaper. Be sure to check it out.

After the photo shoot, we also shot some video with the 6-foot-5 Austrian that you can check out above. You should be able to get a sense of his character and confidence from the clip.

I thought it’s interesting that he’s been in contact with his national team recently. He hadn’t really had a sniff of international duty since making a mistake in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Serbia. Even if he gets back in the picture for Austria, however, he said his priority is the Sounders.
